As people grow and learn on the site, we expect that some will gain knowledge and abilities passed what they were originally scripted as having. As such, we need a system that allows them to grow with their experiences, yes? Yes. So here it is - please keep in mind, this isn't to be taken as totally rigid, but more of a guideline.
In respect to upgrading powers and forms, we expect to see no less than ten threads, completed, where the character has demonstrated effective use of the power or form for a respectable duration of time. Basically, we don't want to see you using it once, or using it unsuccessfully. It has to be an experience the character learned something from. This may seem like a lot. And you're right. It is. Guess what? It takes a long time to truly better yourself in such a manner. Typically it would take longer. So deal with it.- At least 10 completed threads
- Multiple uses of the skill in each, preferably successful uses
- Character should have come away each time learning something
As for other things, such as learning a skill like slicing, it's very similar to the above only the requirements are lessened. For adding some sort of miscellaneous skill to your list, you'll need at least three completed threads with multiple uses in each, each being relatively successful.
