RP Sample: It was about eight o’clock at night and all of the shows were getting started for the primetime TV slot, though something was unusual. Instead of the normal signal there was a logo of a hypnotic spiral and the words Crime Time in the middle of it. The screens all over Gotham then cut to some opening credits, as the program that was airing was now starting. “Welcome to the carnival of chaos friends, tonight we have some special guests… Give a big welcome to one of the cities former top cops, once in prison for corruption charges awaiting trial!” A curtain then opened as a drugged up cop walked into the central area carrying a shotgun and high voltage tazer, and several people who also looked drugged up and doing this willingly dressed as clowns with actual weapons. In between them was a bunch of civilians, people who had been reported as missing suspended from ropes over a bed of saws buzzing on top of a sluice gate. “Once decorated icons of justice now look at how he has fallen, such innocent people who well have committed some very bad things and gotten away with them. Now we shall see true justice!” The announcer said with a crazed laugh as the ropes were cut and the people landed on the ground, hidden cameras all over the place started to show as The Joker ran the board and showed the public some horrific and brutal violence. Each person’s crimes were mentioned as they killed or were killed, though in other areas other people were revealed. Some were cops and others criminals, but the objective was clear, a misguided and twisted version of justice that forced people to kill and maim others in order to survive. The weak were soon gone, and in the end it was down to the hard cases on both sides. However cops had killed people for no reason besides their own survival, and now in a twisted hall of mirrors the broadcast ended even though most TV’s had been turned off and 911 was clogged with calls, making some accidents or crimes now utouchable as any attempts to report them blocked due to call volume. “Tune in tomorrow night; we will see who lives and who wants to kill themselves… If you’re watching this, pleasant dreams oh dear of enemy mine. Good night Gotham, and fear the dark…” It ended with the maniacal laughing as programming cut to immediate news bulletins, though attempts to trace the signal failed as it bounced all over the city. From all TV transmitters and even cell towers so cell phones could pick it up. “Tonight’s top story is one that is not for the faint of heart, the recent rash of missing people and prison breaks has resulted in multiple homicides televised citywide for the fifth night in a row. Attempts to cut the transmission failed thusfar and there are no leads yet on the culprit. However we have speculative rumor that this is linked to the recent escape of The Joker from Arkham Asylum, anyone who is missing a loved one and recognized them please contact the police when the lines are clear. We will have a panel now on this recent act of terror, with us will be top psychologists and forensics experts on the nature of snuff films and trauma councilors will be on hand on a special hotline.” The newswoman started with after the news picked up, and instead of the normal news there was a call in show regarding this event that was interrupted by the regular news. Many who called were concerned citizens and parents, though many were outraged. As The joker watched this from his base under the abandoned carnival he used as a set he looked at the feeds of his remaining prisoners, some were trying to kill themselves already and failing due to restraints as drugs were pumped into their system to prime them for the next feed to be shot and then aired the next night. Carnival of Chaos 2 would see nobody live, for the winner would be sent into the streets as a psychotic raving madman and probably get killed by police deluded into thinking everyone was out to kill him. “Oh if only the knight himself could appreciate all I do for him, come on Dork Knight try and stop me. I dare ya to! He said to himself as he chuckled at the comments and complaints, children saw this and were traumatized which was even more amusing than the time he set the two ferries to blow each other up. Morality was so much fun to play with, even minor tax evasion was enough to get him victims for this series of now 5 interruptions and horrific shows he had aired and kept the city terrorized.
