THE RULES !
Just a quick and simple rundown. We'll make this as painless as possible. Rules are subject to change at any time. Most of this is common sense, so please, use it.
CHARACTER LIMITS!
We really don't want to see everyone making the same style characters, or have one faction outweigh another. As such, all must adhere to the following rule about the characters they create - for every three characters you possess, you must have;
- One Canon
- One original character (not Canon)
- One non Force-sensitive
These requisites can stack - if you create for yourself a Clone Trooper, he counts as both your Non-sensitive, and original. Thus you must still make a Canon, and the other can be entirely up to you.
NO GODMODDING!
This one is really quite simple. Do not govern the actions of anyone else in your posts without their permission. This means things like landing a strike, grabbing someone, or even shaking their hand. Leave your posts open ended.
NO GARY STU'S/MARY SUES.
A character of this sort is one that is, by definition, perfect. This is something that we all must try to avoid, as it tends to make Role Playing rather bland. Everybody has flaws.
RESPECT
Please be respectful of your fellow writers. While you may or may not like what others write, keep in mind that their time and dedication went into it. And if, for whatever reason, your issues with something need to voiced, do not hesitate to contact a Moderator.
WAIT UNTIL YOU'RE APPROVED
This one should go without saying. You do not role-play before your character is both posted and approved. No exceptions.
LITERACY
There really shouldn't be many noticeable mistakes in your posts, thanks to all the spell checking and auto correcting software that's around. We understand that people make mistakes, but please review your posts at least once before posting.
SPAMMING
Don't. No double posting, no more than 5 straight comments in the c-box.
GRAPHICS
First and most importantly, graphics are mandatory here. Both avatars and signatures are a requisites of accepting your profile. If you don't have one, feel free to put something temporary in its place - so long as there is one, you're fine.
Max avatar dimensions are 150x200. Please crop your avatar to this size or smaller.
We are going to be very picky about this, so please read carefully. First, we would appreciate keeping your signature sizes simple, either 200x500, or 250x500. Nothing that stretches the page, or anything larger than 250px in height. Failure to comply will result in an immediate warning in addition to the removal of your signature. We also ask that any additional text doesn't stretch your signature down further.
Your role-playing posts must be larger than your Signature. This means that if we take a ruler to our monitor and find your post is smaller than your signature, we'll be upset. Nothing is worse than scrolling down through a page that's more signature than text.
Signatures say a lot about you, and having a signature that was put together in a few minutes looks incredibly tacky. If you wish to have a more professional looking signature, please talk to someone on the site about having one made, or contact the site Admin, who will be more than happy to hook you up.
POSTING ORDER
In threads with multiple participants, please keep in mind that there does need to be order to who posts when. Simply put, you go in order of when you posted.
A, B, C, A, B, C, A, B, C, etc. If you wish a change in the order, please contact all participants of the thread prior to doing so.
INACTIVITY
Sometimes, people like to vanish without giving much warning. In some cases, it's not a big deal. In others, it is. And so we issue a warning to all members now, inspired by the failures of Staff members of old. If your character is important to others, or especially the plot, two weeks of inactivity will result in the Staff seizing the character and doing what they deem best with it. If you give us warning of your leave, we may be able to reach a compromise.
