SUGGESTIONS AND REMINDERS !
These are a few key pointers to keep in mind when Role Playing on our site, as well as many sites in general. Please take them into consideration before posting.
Don't overload yourself with weapons and abilities!
This looks quite tacky and sounds like a child trying to hoard everything to themselves. Instead, think deeply about your character and what they would carry with them. Keep it practical, and stylish. Role Play combat is not won by having the best weapons, but by the quality of your writing.
Realism!
You're not going to see many Geonoshians flying about with a Lightsaber. At the same time, you're not going to find many Jedi preferring a Blaster over a Lightsaber. Everyone likes to be different, we more than understand that here. But there are limits, please do not try to exceed them.
The Art of Killing!
To be honest, the death of a character, particularly a player controlled (PC) one, is always dramatic. Sometimes, such a death is almost unavoidable. Other times, it simply provides for plot options or character development. That being said, don't be afraid to commit to such a thing. We will do our best to compensate you for allowing such a thing. This is not, however, an invitation to harass people into letting their characters die, or worse yet, trying your hardest to simply kill someone. Remember that characters are the intellectual properties of others, and should they allow such a thing, they will make it known.
Let's all be friends and hold hands!
Nooooooo! This is bad! This is a conflict based site. That means that our plot gets advanced by things like fights, alliances and backstabbing. In these situations, you would not be kind to everyone, quite the opposite actually. We're not trying to say, "FRIENDS ARE BAD! KILL EVERYONE! MUHAHAHAH!", though you can do that if you wish, that's always fun. Just please, keep it realistic, including character personalities. Because guess what? People aren't very nice, especially when they're desperate and trying to get what they want. Don't be afraid to do something drastic. Usually this kind of thing adds to plot very nicely, so go for it! The worst thing you can do is worry about what someone else will think about your character doing something. Guess what? That's just how people act sometimes. A mature Role Player will understand.
Leadership Positions
Our site offers many roles of leadership for you to potentially play. They are given in a first come, first serve basis. If you take up such a role, we ask a few things of you. First, you must remain active. This means, more or less, 3 posts per week and activity in the c-box. Try to make decisions in character that would reflect your faction. No destroying your own faction! Set an example. Your posts will be looked at by many. Please try to practice proper grammar and spelling, and keep your profile looking good.
