Veterancy: This army saw action on Geonosis for a short time, covering Dooku's escape. When he did escape, it backed out and headed straight for Rhen Var.
Purpose: Their primary task is to guard a planet important to Dooku, or the CIS. It also serves as support if needed, since it is a guard Battalion.

Training:
The whole of the army is trained to fight from cover, and to use their surroundings. They are not completely mindless, like the B1s are notorious for but instead draw the enemy in, and fight backing up unless the Clones have been decimated enough.

The standard tank in the Confederate Army.

While they are scarce in this battalion, they serve as the muscle in this category

Tactics and Methods:
One could say that this army fights like Dooku, with strength but more tactics-minded. The army itself is meant to appear weak to it's enemies, but when they being to "blast" their way into the droids, they find themselves surrounded. Like bait, the weakest droids are the first into battle. Then, as the whole of the army backs away from it's aggressor, they come from the side and push forward with their strongest units. This has only been tested once, and to great effect, on Geonosis.

Another notable tactic is where the forces spread themselves thin, to appear as if there is more than there is in reality. They still fight retreating, but as the numbers fall, the appearance of invulnerability and in-numerous droids becomes a sensation any Clone Soldier, or Jedi, would feel. When this happens. Dooku will then personally lead an assault, but only if the battle is going well enough. With his appearance, and power in the Force, the battle should be clinched. This tactic has yet to be tried out at all.
